Youth & Child Safety at C3 Currumbin
At C3 Currumbin, the safety, wellbeing and care of every child and young person is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment where children and youth can learn about Jesus, grow in faith, and feel valued.
We believe that every child has the right to be safe, protected, respected, listened to, and have their individual needs considered in all church activities.
Our Commitment
To ensure the safety of children and youth in our care, C3 Currumbin:
carefully selects and screens all ministry workers
ensures all leaders hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
requires all leaders to complete Essential Child Safe Training
adopts and encourages safe ministry practices in all programs
has a clear reporting procedure for any concerns, and responds promptly
regularly reviews our safe ministry policies and procedures
Our Leaders & Team
All C3 Currumbin Children’s and Youth ministry leaders:
are familiar with, and provide leadership in line with, our safe ministry policies
maintain up-to-date Blue Cards and have completed Essential Child Safe Training
receive induction, training and ongoing supervision to ensure programs are delivered safely
work in partnership with parents to care for children and young people
Program Procedures
Children and youth are signed in and out by parents/carers to ensure their safety
Parents are encouraged to provide any relevant information regarding allergies, additional needs, or special requirements
Mobile phones are used for contact in the rare event a child needs their parent during the program
Teams communicate key updates and events to parents via email and in-person conversations
